Support from first latch to last.

Expert education and compassionate support for breastfeeding families.

You want to savor every moment with your new baby, but breastfeeding is stressing you TFO.

You’ve imagined that magical golden-hour moment when you first hold your baby snuggled up skin-to-skin, but that image never included pain, frustration, and tears. Breastfeeding may be “natural,” but, damn, it can be effing hard to figure out.  I’ve been there. And because I never want another mom to have to struggle alone, I‘ve become obsessed with helping parents kick ass on their breastfeeding journeys.

At The Balanced Boob, you’ll get…

Pre-birth education, so you can start off on the right boob, err foot.
Post-birth support, so you know where to go when you hit bumps along the way.
A community of moms just like you, so you’re never isolated at 2AM with Google.

I’ve helped thousands of families breastfeed with confidence and comfort.

Breastfeeding doesn’t have to suck.

At least, not in the way that makes you want to scream into a pillow.

Articles, Workshops, and Newsletters
Breastfeeding can be hard AF, but when you have support, it doesn’t have to suck. Let go of endless Googling and latch onto the info you need from my free resources.

Consults

Personalized Lactation Consultations
Our team of IBCLCs (that means we are legit Lactation Consultants) offer compassionate, guilt-free lactation consultations to help troubleshoot any challenges.

Hey there — I’m Kelly Kendall!

I’m here to make breastfeeding easier for you.
When I had my first baby, I thought I was prepared to breastfeed. I’d watched some YouTube videos, read some blogs, and I had worked as a nurse helping pregnant and postpartum families. Honestly, I thought breastfeeding would be … easy?

But, damn, was I wrong. When a tongue tie, repeated mastitis, and cracked nipples became my reality, I was wishing I’d done more to prepare. And that I’d had more support to figure it out! Trying to absorb all the info at the hospital — even with the help of a lactation consultant — was a joke. I was so tired. So overwhelmed. And in so much pain.

I started The Balanced Boob so I could give moms like you what I desperately needed and couldn’t find: a balanced approach to breastfeeding that provides both education and on-going support.

Whether you’re expecting your first or you’ve done this before, my mission is to give you everything you need to breastfeed with confidence and comfort.

This is where expert education meets realtime support.

So you can kickass on your unique breastfeeding journey.

Educate

When it comes to breastfeeding, knowledge is power. The more you know (and see other moms breastfeeding!), the better equipped you’ll be from first latch to last. Forget the cliche advice, miracle potions, and panicked Googling. Save your sanity and invest in the school you never knew you’d need.

Empower

Breastfeeding may be hard, but you can do it. You are the perfect mom for your baby and I want to empower you with the confidence to know you are successfully nourishing your baby. No guilt. No shame. Just all the tools to figure out what works best for your family.

Support

For centuries, women had one another in close proximity to teach, empower, and support each other through motherhood. We weren’t meant to do this alone. That’s why I offer an online support community as well as weekly group support calls with our team. Breastfeeding is a journey, and I’ll be with you from first latch to last.

These moms weren't let down.

(and you won't be either!)

Thank god for Boob School and all my prep, because we never got to see a lactation consultant during our 3 day stay post C-section. But we picked up breastfeeding super quickly and are killing it at home now! All thanks to you!
Grateful New Mom
I had low supply with my first. I never thought I’d be able to exclusively breastfeed, but I believe your support and knowledge set me up for prepping my body for success round two!
Thankful 2nd Time Mom
My daughter was born prematurely at 27 weeks and because of you I was able to establish my milk supply. Since providing her breastmilk is the only way I can care for my baby right now, it alleviated some of the stress of having a premie and made me feel like I can do something.
